Church Beautification Workday

Saturday, May 9th, 8:30 AM - Noon followed by lunch

Our church landscaping and grounds took a hard hit this past winter from all the very cold weather that we experienced, as well as from the restrictive watering hours we've had to deal with due to the ongoing drought. Our Three Men and a Preacher (3MAAP) group trimmed most of our hundreds of shrubs back to see what we could save, but many didn't make it.

There'll be a lot of prep to do, a lot of new plantings to put in, and a lot of new mulch to put down.

We need 60-80 folks to accomplish all the tasks that are planned. The focus of the morning's work will be: 

1. Weeding, fertilizing and mulching the many shrubs that did make it
2. Installing new shrubs where needed
3. Landscaping 2 new major projects (around the electronic sign at corner of Bloomingdale & Bryan, and also the west side of the Family Life Center facing Bryan Rd)

The workday will kick off at 8:30 AM on Saturday, May 9 and we'll work until noon using five different teams to do all the planting, fertilizing, mulching, and clean-up that we hope to accomplish that morning. After that, we've got a scrumptious lunch planned for all those who helped in this landscaping endeavor.
